In Kolkata, Susmita faces cruelty cases daily: poisoned dogs, cats sliced open and left to die, animals dumped bleeding at her door. She runs on almost nothing, except for one thing you gave her: a Medicine Bank. Because of your monthly support through Animals First Aid, that Medicine Bank stays stocked with antibiotics, pain relief, and first-aid supplies. When a terrified, wounded dog shows up at 2am, she can grab what she needs immediately, not spend hours begging for help. That is what recurring donations are doing — turning “I’m so sorry, I can’t” into “I’ve got you, let me treat that now.”

Now, we are also helping Isha in Chandigarh. Her entire journey started with one injured puppy. She cleaned his wounds by hand, carried him to the hospital, and nursed him until he wagged again. After that, she never stopped. Today, while dealing with her own family crisis and trying to finish her education, she is feeding and caring for 50 to 60 street dogs every single day.

She is paying for food, vet visits, and urgent treatments out of her own pocket. She is, in every sense, what we mean when we say “ordinary people doing the extraordinary.”

Our goal in India is to raise $5,000. That keeps Susmita’s Medicine Bank full and keeps Isha able to feed those 50–60 dogs daily and respond when an animal is bleeding in the gutter.
