The crisis doesn’t end with dogs.

In Geita, thousands of working donkeys haul bricks, firewood, and water until they collapse. They are beaten when they stumble. They work through open wounds. They are rarely given rest, medicine, or even kindness. Our partner TAHUCHA is preparing donkey vaccination, deworming, and basic relief campaigns because for families living in deep poverty, a donkey is the only way to move heavy loads — and that means the donkey is often worked until it breaks. Without urgent help, many of these animals simply won’t survive.

This is why we launched the “Keep Them Alive: Tanzania Rescue Drive.” The goal is huge: reach 20,000 dogs and 5,000 donkeys with vaccines, parasite control, food, treatment, and direct protection. This is one of the most ambitious rescue pushes we have ever attempted in East Africa. And it’s only possible because people like you care what happens in places most of the world will never see. Your support is literally preventing mass killing, easing suffering for working equines, and giving poor families an alternative to cruelty.
