Morocco is not just one rescue. Our longtime partner in Agadir, Sunshine Animal Refuge Agadir (SARA), is in crisis. After years of nonstop emergency work — feeding starving street dogs, treating injured cats, pulling animals back from the edge — SARA’s lifeline is running dangerously low. A tiny puppy with deep, infected wounds across his side could barely lift his head to eat when he was brought in. Because of your past gifts, he received weeks of wound care, surgery on his damaged leg in Marrakech, and now daily physiotherapy to relearn how to stand and walk. But that level of care drains what little remains of SARA’s fund. They are still saying “yes” to the broken and abandoned, even as their reserves run out. We cannot let that light go dark.  

Here is what supporters need to hear — and deserve to hear: You helped build real walls in Morocco. You kept real animals alive. You are keeping the doors open at You Can Save Me and SARA. You are the only safety net these animals have. We have reached one major goal (a physical, nearly finished safe space), but survival now depends on keeping food, medicine, and surgery funds flowing.
