In Morocco, one woman’s fight is turning suffering into survival, AFA.

Fatim Ezzohra Mazzoug runs “You Can Save Me” a grassroots rescue that takes in the cats no one else will touch — hit by cars, burned, infected, starved. With your help, something that started as an emergency plea (“please, help me build somewhere safe for them”) has become real. Walls are up. Roofs are up. Safe spaces for injured cats and secure kennel runs for dogs are almost complete. The sanctuary expansion that once felt impossible is now nearly built. This is proof that when we ask, and you answer, change happens.

But the work inside those walls is brutal and nonstop. Fatim recently rescued a female cat who had been left on the street after being struck by a car. Both back legs were fractured. She lay in agony for four days before anyone helped her. After rescue, she got antibiotics, her first proper bath, and comfort for the first time in days. She now needs surgeries of roughly €500 to repair both legs so she can walk again. Without that intervention, her future is pain. With it, her future is life. You are the deciding factor.
