By Donating this campaign you will help Author LANSERIA FERALS

Animals First Aid urgently needs your help to keep vulnerable cats fed through our partnership with Nina at Lanseria Ferals.

If you are new to our work, Nina cares for feral cats in and around Lanseria, South Africa. Through Lanseria Ferals, she feeds cats living outdoors in colonies, arranges sterilisation to prevent more kittens being born into hardship, and traps injured cats so they can receive veterinary care.

Right now, she has asked for R5,000–R7,000 (approximately US$310–$435 / £230–£320 / €265–€375) to buy dry pellets, wet food tins and sachets. Feeding these cats is a continuing responsibility, even when an emergency rescue demands her attention. Please give $50, $100 or $250 today to help us meet this immediate food need.

Our partnership with Nina has grown into an ongoing commitment to the cats in her care. As she assists multiple colonies, AFA is standing alongside work that spans feeding, sterilisation and emergency rescue. Equipment purchased with AFA’s help is already making a difference when an injured cat needs to be reached.

Lucky shows what that partnership makes possible. A snare had left lasting damage around his body. Nina reached for the drop trap purchased with AFA’s help, caught him and took him to the vet. He is now safe at a sanctuary, away from the danger of another snare.

And there is Huey. After suffering third-degree burns from hot water, he needed wound treatment and a year of devoted care. Today, his fur has grown back. He sleeps on Nina’s bed, safe, loved and finally free to be a cat again.

But some cats are reached too late. One female had tape caught around her neck for a year before Nina was alerted. Nina trapped her within five minutes, but the damage was too severe to save her. Her two daughters have since been sterilised, preventing further litters from facing the same hardship.

These cats need someone to notice, to act and to keep coming back. Nina is doing that. She urgently needs our support.

The rescues do not stop the daily need for food. Nina has even had to trap cats underground in drains because the area above was too busy. Alongside that difficult work, there are still feeding rounds to make and cats depending on every meal.

Please donate $50, $100 or $250 now to help Animals First Aid provide the food Nina has requested for Lanseria Ferals.

Your gift helps put food within reach of cats already facing so much. Please donate today, so Nina can keep showing up for them.
