The work in Morocco never pauses.

Just as our partner, Association Zina, thought they might catch their breath, another urgent veterinary bill arrived - 3,895 Moroccan dirhams ($422) for care already given at Dr. Said El Madani’s clinic.

For most of us, it’s a small number.
For Zina, it’s impossible choices.

It’s food that may not be bought. Medicine that may have to wait. Another moment where doing the right thing comes at a cost they are not sure they can cover.

And still - they keep going.

In Souk El Arbaa, cats and dogs survive on the streets with nothing certain except hunger and risk. Zina’s small team shows up anyway. They feed the ones who gather. They search for the ones who disappear. They treat the sick, the injured, the forgotten - without shelter, without safety nets, and without ever knowing if they will have enough for tomorrow.

Now, they’ve reached out again. Not because it’s easy. Because it isn’t.

And lives hang in the balance.

A female dog is already receiving care ahead of surgery. Food has been stretched as far as it can go. Space for recovery is nearly impossible to secure. And the next emergency is never far behind.

This is rescue in Morocco.

One animal saved… another waiting. One bill paid… another arriving. One life held together… only if someone comes back tomorrow. That “someone” has been Zina.
