Strays of Alanya Rescue
Today, I’m asking you to help protect something fragile - and vital.
Animals First Aid is expanding because animal suffering doesn’t stop at borders. And right now, in Turkey, a small rescue is on the brink.
Strays of Alanya Rescue was built by two compassionate rescuers, Elsa Maria Handberg and Renate Kniep, for the animals no one else would save - abandoned cats, the injured, the elderly, the forgotten. For many, it’s the only safe place they will ever know.
But now, that safety is at risk.
Rising costs - food, rent, veterinary care - have pushed this shelter into crisis.
Every day is a struggle to keep bowls filled and doors open.
That’s why Animals First Aid is launching an urgent mission to secure $2,000 a month fund - a lifeline that will keep this rescue alive. With it, cats are fed. Treated. Protected. Without it… there are no guarantees.
One of those cats is Kristin - found severely underweight and dangerously ill. She needed immediate care, fluids, medication - and time. Because this shelter didn’t give up, she had a chance.
There are many more like her.
Today, I’m asking you to help build this vital monthly lifeline – vital for keeping this shelter’s doors open for animals in desperate need.
A gift of $35, $50, $100 - or more - goes straight to food, medical care, and safe shelter for cats with nowhere else to go. Please, be as generous as you can today.
Together, we can keep this rescue open - and ensure that cats who have already lost everything don’t lose their last chance, too.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
